A recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” celebrated people who show us it’s never too late in life to pursue a dream or give back to our communities. One of those featured was Ed (Pops) Levien, who started a second career as a volunteer EMT at the age of 64. Now, at 76, he's responded to more than 3,000 emergency calls, saving countless lives and even helping deliver a baby.
In honor of Levien’s service with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, ADT made a surprise $10,000 donation to the organization to support its lifesaving work. The donation underscored ADT’s commitment to first responders and the communities they protect.
For more than 150 years, ADT has protected and connected what matters most. We believe safety goes beyond the home and extends to safe communities. The ADT Safe Places corporate giving program invests in the communities where we live and work through donations, volunteerism and partnerships.
Additionally, ADT is committed to working with first responders and local law enforcement by providing real-time security updates and systems. These partnerships improve community response capabilities, enhance overall safety, and ensure timely and effective intervention during emergencies.
In 2024, ADT adopted the Alarm Validation Scoring Standard (AVS-01), which provides a standardized method to communicate with 911 centers, giving them critical alarm information
We also actively participate in community safety programs, providing educational resources and technology demonstrations to law enforcement and community members, and are a proud sponsor of National Night Out.
