Smarter, more connected protection
The ADT+ Security System seamlessly integrates ADT’s security and life-safety hardware with Google Nest and Yale technology to create a unified smart home experience. Customers can connect Google Nest cameras, doorbells and thermostats, Yale locks, and a growing ecosystem of ADT security and life-safety devices, as well as Z-Wave-enabled compatible smart devices.
Components of the ADT+ Security System
The ADT+ Security System is customizable to your needs, and new components can easily be added via DIY or professional installation. Once you have the Z-Wave-enabled ADT+ Base, the brains of the operation, you can create your ideal smart home with products such as:
- ADT security devices, such as the Door/Window Sensors that help protect your home’s most vulnerable entry points, pet-friendly Motion Sensors that can distinguish between an animal and a person, and the innovative Glass Break Sensor that can detect a window breaking without being triggered by a wineglass being dropped or glass shattering on TV.
- Life and property safety devices,including the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector, which also detects rapidly rising heat, and the Water and Temperature Sensor, which can help detect water before it becomes a major issue.
- Convenience options, including the Alarm Range Extender, which helps extend the communication range for ADT security systems in larger homes. The portable Keypad lets you arm/disarm your system or trigger the panic alarm virtually anywhere in your home, and with the Touchscreen, you can run your whole system and keep an eye on your integrated Google Nest camera.
- Google Nest security cameras, such as the Google Nest Cam Indoor (wired, 3rd gen) and Google Nest Cam with floodlight, let you monitor your home, indoors and out, with night vision, talk-and-listen capability and intelligent alerts. The Google Nest Doorbell (battery) keeps you informed about activity at your front door with advanced features like package detection and Google Nest familiar face detection.*
- Smart devices, including the Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen), which learns your preferred temperature settings and routines; the Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch with Z‑Wave, which can unlock your door and disarm your system with a single touch; and the ADT Appliance Module, which lets you manage home lighting and small appliances remotely. - Control from virtually anywhere: With the ADT+ app, customers can easily stay connected to and control their smart home from virtually anywhere, viewing live and recorded videos, creating automations, checking the status of their sensors and more.
- Trusted Neighbor™: This exclusive service offers a digital alternative to giving your neighbor a key to your home. Through the ADT+ app, you can grant your trusted contacts unique, secure and temporary access to your home when help is needed. When they leave, the Trusted Neighbor service locks your door and returns your ADT security system to its original security setting.**
- Home | Away: With the Home | Away built-in geofencing feature, the system knows when registered mobile devices leave or return home and can adjust settings automatically. When everyone leaves, for example, the system can automatically switch the system to Away mode, locking doors and arming the security system.
- My Safety: My Safety extends ADT’s professional monitoring beyond the home, helping customers feel safer wherever they go. Baked into the ADT+ app, users can connect to a monitoring agent via text, call, Safety Timer or an emergency phrase.
- Video Verification: This optional security feature pairs alarm events with captured video clips so monitoring agents or the customer can confirm whether an alarm is real. This visual confirmation helps reduce false alarms, speed up emergency response, and provide first responders with clearer, more actionable information.
- Reliable connection: The ADT+ Security System uses long-range DECT/ULE technology on a 1.9 GHz frequency to help reduce interference and maintain strong, reliable connections throughout the home. The system adds radio-frequency jamming detection and notification to identify attempts to disrupt wireless communication.
