ADT is partnering with Costco to offer its members a new way to help protect and connect what matters most.
For the first time ever, Costco members can now order a professionally installed ADT smart home security system at Costco.com. There are two package options: A 9-piece system and a 13-piece system, both of which include Google Nest products. The package also includes professional installation, as well as ADT’s award-winning SMART monitoring*.
While some consumers opt to install do-it-yourself smart home security systems, recent trends show continued strength in professional installation services, according to a new Parks Associates report. That trend is primarily driven by the connected tech needs of remote workers.
Sean Logan, Head of Retail Development for ADT, answered additional questions about the ADT-Costco partnership, which is providing smart home security with professional installation and monitoring:
Q: What are the benefits of ADT’s new partnership with Costco?
A: Our partnership offers consumers another way to easily order an ADT security system. Some people want the ability to order a smart home security system online, but they may not want to install that system themselves. So this offer is the best of both worlds: They can get a smart home security package with the professional installation expertise that ADT is known for.
Of course, ADT offers customers Self Setup options, too.
Q: What happens after a customer purchases a package from Costco?
A: An ADT security professional will call them to schedule a day and time to deliver, then install and set up their new system. Costco members can easily sign up for monthly monitoring online and they enjoy a significant savings ($10 per month on monitoring and 40% to 50% off hardware).
Q: The partnership was announced recently. How is it performing so far?
A: After just a few weeks of sales, we are off to a great start. Customers love having a curated and easy way to order smart home security and have white-glove delivery and set up, usually within a few days. They are seeing the value in our Costco partnership. It will be exciting to see how we ramp up over the next few months.
